One of many scenic views on Hwy 1 between Big Sur and Monterey. We got to know this drive really well over the course of our time here; we were camping in Big Sur, which is a beautiful but remote and rugged stretch of coastline. Each day we would drive the 25 miles of curvy coast-hugging road to get to the Monterey area. You can see the road line along the hillside about halfway between the water line and the clouds.
This looks like a peaceful place.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo. I'm not a botanist or any sort of naturalist but it seems like between the sea, the beach, the tidepools, the mountians and more, there's a lifetime of things to explore and study right there.
