From the Washington side, and just before we crossed the bridge into Oregon. Bill was driving when I took this shot. I wish I'd asked him to stop because it's a little blurry, but at the time I was just playing around. I liked the old pier silhouette, and the fishing boats in the distance. I'm not sure what bridge is behind the boats, but it doesn't look like the Astoria Bridge to me at all. That is Astoria, Oregon on the far shore, so it must be a smaller bridge there, which I'll have to take note of next time I visit.
A very interesting view. I greet you.
ReplyDeletelove that faint layer of mountains in the back. and 'mouth' certainly has some jagged old teeth. :)
ReplyDeleteMakes me want to find out the history.
ReplyDeleteA very intriquing image!
ReplyDeleteI saw this yesterday and thought I'd left a comment. Guessing I forgot. I was busy trying to figure out what bridge this was because I've probably been over it a million times. Anyway I really liked your photo.
ReplyDeleteVery nice view of a majestic river.
ReplyDeleteHope to see it one day.
Peace :)
