Look what I found on the forest floor this morning. Even though we haven't had much rain yet, I'm starting to see mushrooms popping up. I love mushrooms, but know nothing about picking them. Maybe someday I'll take a class.
i love mushrooms too. it is wonderful to go on a Fall Foray trip with folks. if you love them you most likely would enjoy it. I went on one a few weeks ago here in Montana, there were 3 experts. We went into the woods and picked them, it is only the fruit we are picking, like an apple off a tree. Bring them back to camp and people talked about them. I learn new things each time.
Have had a class on mushroom ID on my list for ages. Along with many other misc. classes that sound wonderful. Maybe you will find a class on them at your local college. This photo is really beautiful. Nature has so much to offer us with its beauty. -- barbara
