Riverfront Security

You never know where you're going to find a fence!  This security fence separates a small public park  on the banks of the Columbia River from the private property next door. At first glance it doesn't seem all that secure, but I suppose it's enough to deter. That water is cold!

Weird place for a fence, I wonder what purpose it serves..Or is the river flooded? Is that a bird I see at the end of the fence? Happy Thursday!

looks like what i have to do to keep the horses from wading around the edge of the fence in the pond and coming up in the yard! :)

oh for sure if you have a flood. The fences get it.

If that fence was supposed to keep the water out - it didn't make it :))
Yes, that looks very cold, love the blue light!
Have a fine day

I suppose it must work!

The fence definitely has a purpose and I would not cross over it.

Well, it might keep the fish out. :)

I enjoy images like this, and I love the Columbia River! It's been way up of late, concealing and covering. Always beautiful.
Great capture!

perhaps the fence was once on dry land -- the sign seems to indicate that? -- barbara
