Seems like lots of wild fires burning along the west coast this summer. We've got an unusually hot and dry summer this yeR in the Pacific Northwest. Driving up to Bird Creek Meadow just north of Trout Lake, Washington, you pass through remnants of a forest fire, which I believe burned during the summer of 2012.

hi Melissa,
I've taken a look at a lot of your last posts, and I like them very much! Especially Mt Adams with the flowers in the foreground. Just lovely!
Also your post of May 29, Stehekin. The lake seems so peaceful, and there is a beautiful reflection!
So nice scrolling through your photos! :-)
Greetings, Hilde
Looks like weather is abnormal worldwide. In my part of the world, cool summer is forecasted after we go through this unusually cool rainy season in spite of unusually hot May with over 30 degrees C. Wild fire is terrible. Life must have germinated in three years but it will take so long to get the thick forest back. Enjoy the beauty of your environment while being alert to the wild fires.
