Almost Spring

The spring weather is showing up a little early here, with sunny skies and cheery clouds all week.  Those of you who follow the blog regularly know I have a fondness for red barns.  And in this weather, there was no way I wasn't stopping to photograph this idyllic scene!

What vivid colors you are finding in your place! Here I often experience a lot of subtle pastel colors in early spring (which will probably be late April or May) & then, finally the vivid colors of blossoming & growth arrive...I get a strong sense of the air in your country scene, makes me want to breathe it...

We get a very strong green around here, partly because it rains so much. You're right about the quality of light. It's very different from California, and I've been struggling with photographing it since I got back here. I would almost say there's a constant glare, but really it is a cleanness to the air that I'm just not used to.

Great capture of the blue sky with clouds and the blooms with the barn as background. If your photo had sound there surely would be lots of happy birds songs to accompany your photo. -- barbara

If you had passed this by without photographing it, you'd have been a sad, sad photographer, Melissa. It' is perfect!
