The Point Reyes peninsula is shaped a little like a whales tale, slightly forked at the end. At the tip of one fluke is the lighthouse, and at the other is chimney rock. We braved the wind and headed out for a hike to chimney rock. Along the way the trail skirts the edge of the cliff, and we were able to look over the edge into the cove below. Here were all these sea lions sunbathing. What a surprise! I didn't know they line themselves up like sardines!
